Day 1: Lima arrival
After your arrival in Lima a reception party will transfer you to your hotel. The hotel will be waiting for you with a folder with your trip details and general information.
Day 2: Lima half day City tour
Our shared tour begins in the morning through the colonial town visiting (panoramic view) the Huaca Pucllana pre-Inca ruins, followed by a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and its impressive ''Catacombs''. we continue towards the modern Lima, visit the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, ending with a visit at the modern shopping center known as Larco Mar from where we get an splendid view of the Pacific Ocean. Free afternoon. Hotel accommodations. Breakfast included.
Day 3: Lima - Cusco
A morning transfer to the airport in Lima will lead you to your flight to Cusco. Reception at the airport is followed by a transfer to the hotel. After you check in, you can relax to get used to the high altitude of the city. In the afternoon we will take you for a 4 hours city tour of Cusco including a walk on the beautiful Plaza de Armas and the impressive Korikancha Temple. We will then drive to visit the nearby Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko and Tambo Machay. Breakfast included.
Day 4: Cusco - Incas Sacred Valley of Urubamba - Ollantaytambo
At 8:30 a.m. we depart from Plazoleta Regocijos driving north-east towards the Inca Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Our first stop is at the place known as Mirador de Corao from where we can see the Pisac Inca Ruins. We drive down to the town of Pisac, where we find the very colorful Indian market. After lunch (on your own), we continue to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo to visit the impressive Ollantaytambo Inca Fortress and walk on the cobbled streets of the small antique town. Free time in the afternoon to relax. Breakfast included.
Day 5: Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu - Cusco
A morning transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station is followed by a beautiful train ride along the Urubamba Incas Sacred Valley down to Aguas Calientes village where our guide will be waiting for you, ready to take the group for a memorable trip. From here public tourist bus transportation takes us to the main entrance of the world famous Machu Picchu Inca citadel. This incredible Guided tour (3 hours) will take us to enjoy one of the most impressive archeological sites in South America. In the afternoon the bus will transport us to Aguas Calientes and we return to Cusco (Poroy station) by train. Transfer to the Hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 6: Cusco - Puno
After a nice breakfast, and using a comfortable shared tourist bus transport, we travel south towards the city of Puno. On the way our first visit will be at the Andahuaylillas Temple where we can observe beautiful 17th century frescoes, and a splendid gilded main altar. Continuing we will pass Urcos village and then stop at Raqchi for a visit to the Viracocha Inca Temple. Later on we stop at Sicuani Town for lunch (included). Then we pass La Raya, the highest point on the road of the Vilcanota range, and also the highest crossing point of the White and Black Cordillera de Los Andes (4200m). An Afternoon arrival in Puno will be followed by your check in. Breakfast, Lunch included.
Day 7: Puno – Uros – Taquile - Puno
From your hotel, we transfer you to the shores of Titicaca Lake where we will visit the incredible Uros: unique floating islands bound together to form a small floating community in the middle of Titicaca Lake. In this group of 40 big island-like packs of floating Totora (reeds), Uros natives continue living like their ancestors, preserving their costumes and own system of communal life. Later on we continue to visit Taquile Island, where descendants from the Incas are still living and where we can find the finest woven goods in Peru handmade by locals. Return to Puno and transfer to your hotel. Breakfast, Lunch included.
Day 8: Puno – Copacabana (Bolivia) – Sun Island
In the morning using a shared tourist class bus, transport to the town of Kasani on the border of Peru-Bolivia and then, after clearing customs, you will continue your journey to the small city of Copacabana where our guide will be waiting for you. After lunch (on your own), the guide will take you to the shores of Titicaca Lake from where a boat (shared services) will transport you to the Sun Island. This legendary island is believed to be the place of origin of the Inca Empire, where we will enjoy visiting their temples and other archaeological heritages, Inca trails, and agricultural works among other interesting things. Small hotel accommodations on the Sun Island. Enjoy the great landscape. Breakfast included.
Day 9: Copacabana – La Paz
In the morning we enjoy a beautiful hike along the ancient paths of the island visiting the archaeological sites, crossing small villages, and enjoying the picturesque island. At about 11 a.m. you take the shared boat back to Copacabana. After lunch (on your own) using a shared bus transport, you will travel to La Paz where our guide will be waiting you for your transfer to the hotel in La Paz. Breakfast included.
Day 10: La Paz
Today you will enjoy a ½ day shared city tour. Our first visit point will be the interesting Witches Indian Market, where we can observe bizarre things used by the local “shamans” for medicinal treatments. Later on we walk on the busy, well-known Sagarnaga Street full of shops with handicrafts. Then continuing with the tour, you will go for a visit to Plaza Murillo where the Government Palace is located and then we walk to Jaen Street where we find an interesting museum. Our tour ends with a visit to the Moon Valley, an interesting geological formation located in the outskirts of La Paz. Transport back to the hotel for lodging and free time. Breakfast.
Day 11: La Paz out
Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport, bus/train station or extension program. Breakfast included.
