Day 1: Lima arrival
After your arrival in Lima a reception party will transfer you to your hotel. The hotel will be waiting for you with a folder with your trip details and general information.
Day 2: Lima half day City tour
Our shared tour begins in the morning through the colonial town visiting (panoramic view) the Huaca Pucllana pre-Inca ruins, followed by a visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and its impressive ''Catacombs''. we continue towards the modern Lima, visit the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, ending with a visit at the modern shopping center known as Larco Mar from where we get an splendid view of the Pacific Ocean. Free afternoon. Hotel accommodations. Breakfast included.
Day 3: Lima – Cusco
A morning transfer to the airport in Lima will lead you to your flight to Cusco. Reception at the airport is followed by a transfer to the hotel. After you check in, you can relax to get used to the high altitude of the city. In the afternoon we will take you for a 4 hours city tour of Cusco including a walk on the beautiful Plaza de Armas and the impressive Korikancha Temple. We will then drive to visit the nearby Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko and Tambo Machay. Breakfast included.
Day 4: Cusco - Incas Sacred Valley of Urubamba - Ollantaytambo
At 8:30 a.m. we depart from Plazoleta Regocijos driving north-east towards the Inca Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Our first stop is at the place known as Mirador de Corao from where we can see the Pisac Inca Ruins. We drive down to the town of Pisac, where we find the very colorful Indian market. After lunch (on your own), we continue to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo to visit the impressive Ollantaytambo Inca Fortress and walk on the cobbled streets of the small antique town. Free time in the afternoon to relax. Breakfast included.
Day 5: Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu - Cusco
A morning transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station is followed by a beautiful train ride along the Urubamba Incas Sacred Valley down to Aguas Calientes village where our guide will be waiting for you, ready to take the group for a memorable trip. From here public tourist bus transportation takes us to the main entrance of the world famous Machu Picchu Inca citadel. This incredible Guided tour (3 hours) will take us to enjoy one of the most impressive archeological sites in South America. In the afternoon the bus will transport us to Aguas Calientes and we return to Cusco (Poroy station) by train. Transfer to the Hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 6: Cusco - Puno
After a nice breakfast, and using a comfortable shared tourist bus transport, we travel south towards the city of Puno. On the way our first visit will be at the Andahuaylillas Temple where we can observe beautiful 17th century frescoes, and a splendid gilded main altar. Continuing we will pass Urcos village and then stop at Raqchi for a visit to the Viracocha Inca Temple. Later on we stop at Sicuani Town for lunch (included). Then we pass La Raya, the highest point on the road of the Vilcanota range, and also the highest crossing point of the White and Black Cordillera de Los Andes (4200m). An Afternoon arrival in Puno will be followed by your check in. Breakfast, Lunch included.
Day 7: Puno – Uros – Taquile - Puno
From your hotel, we transfer to the shores of Titicaca Lake and we will visit the incredible Uros, the unique floating islands located on Titicaca Lake. In this group of 40 big island-like packs of floating totora (reeds), Uros natives continue living like their ancestors, preserving their costumes and own system of communal life. Later on we continue to visit Taquile Island, where descendants from the Incas are still living and where we can find the finest woven goods in Peru woven by locals. Return to Puno and transfer to your hotel. Breakfast, Lunch included.
Day 8: Puno out
In the morning transfer to the airport of Juliaca from where you will take the flight back to Lima or to La Paz. End of our services (or program extension to Colca Canyon and Arequipa or to Bolivia).
