Day 1: Arrival in Cusco & City Tour
In the morning reception and transfer to the hotel. After check in, we can relax so that you can get used to the high Andean altitude. In the afternoon we will take you for a shared (pool) 4 hour city tour of Cusco including a walk on the beautiful Plaza de Armas, visit to the impressive Korikancha Temple, followed by a drive to visit the nearby Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko and Tambo Machay. Hotel accommodations.
Day 2: Cusco – Urubamba Incas Sacred Valley - Cusco
At 8:30 a.m. we depart from Plazoleta Regocijos to begin our full day tour to visit the Incas Sacred Valley of Urubamba. We drive north east to our first stop at the place known as Mirador de Corao and Pisac from where we can see the Pisac Inca Ruins. Then we drive down to the town of Pisac, where we find the very colorful Indian market that booms on Sundays and Thursdays (running every day but on a minor scale). Then we continue to the town of Ollantaytambo, where we will visit to the impressive Inca Fortress and walk on the cobbled streets of the small town. From Ollantaytambo we drive back to Urubamba and we take the road towards the small Inca village of Chinchero where we find a nice small market. The day ends as we transport you back to our starting point at Plazoleta Regocijos in Cusco. Hotel accommodations. Breakfast included.
Day 3: Cusco – Machu Picchu - Cusco
An early morning transfer to the Poroy train station will be followed by a beautiful train ride (3:30 h) along the Urubamba Incas Sacred Valley down to Aguas Calientes village where our guide will be waiting for you, ready to take the group of participants for a memorable trip. From here public tourist bus transportation takes us to the main entrance of the world famous Machu Picchu Inca citadel. Enjoy one of the most impressive archeological sites in South America. In the afternoon bus transport to Aguas Calientes and return to Cusco (Poroy station) by train. Transfer to the Hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 4: Cusco transfer out
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport, bus/train station or program extension. (B).
